Geordie Shore star Bethan Kershaw has spoken out to address claims she’s dating TOWIE’s Demi Sims after the pair were caught on camera playing tonsil tennis during a boozy night out to celebrate the launch of her new clothing collection.
Demi’s sister Frankie filmed the reality star duo locking lips as an open-mouthed Chloe Ferry watched in shock and posted the footage to her Instagram story, sparking romance rumours which were only fuelled when Demi posted a cryptic TikTok about being ignored by her “bae”.
Despite fans speculating that Demi had moved on from her bitter split from Francesca Farago with Bethan, the Geordie lass insisted she and Demi “aren’t in a serious, committed relationship”.
Instead, Bethan described their romance as a “situationship”.
“So, basically the situationship with Demi… me and Demi, we’re really good friends. We’re friends that have a little bit of a flirt, a little bit of a neck on but we’re not in a serious, committed relationship,” the reality star said in a post on her Instagram story.
“I’ve spoken to her for a while, I really get on with her and think she’s really funny. We laugh a lot, but at the same time, we’re both single. We’re both just living life and doing us. At the end of the day, we’re just young, dumb and having fun.”
Demi echoed Bethan’s sentiments on her own Instagram story as she told fans, “We’re both single. We’re both on our own journeys of finding ourselves at the moment.
“Don’t get me wrong, me and Bethan have spoken in the past and when we are with each other, we are all over each other. We just have a really flirty relationship and that’s what it was the other night.
“That doesn’t mean we’re in a relationship, no. I do love her, I’ve got a lot of time for Bethan but we’re both on the same page with this. It’s not like that. I just thought I’d come on and clear a few things up in case you think we’re cheating on each other if you see us with anyone else. We’re both very much single.”
Well, that’s cleared up once and for all then.
Demi’s romance that’s not a romance with Bethan comes just weeks after she hit out at her “disrespectful” ex Francesca after the Too Hot to Handle star posted a YouTube video about their break-up and admitted they’re “not on good terms”.
Francesca claimed their relationship was “so blah” and “fizzled out” as they weren’t “doing anything fun”. The reality star and influencer, who is originally from Canada, also revealed Demi told her to leave the country now that their relationship is over.
Demi later spoke out to tell her side of the story after Francesca’s tell-all hit the headlines, something the TOWIE star said had left her feeling “hurt” as she told fans, “The video was meant to be an apology video however I feel was nitpicked at me the whole time and the apology was just thrown in there at the end to make herself feel better. As you all know there are two sides to every story.
“It has hurt me that she has said I didn’t help her get to the UK, I did not back her with the Hayley Covid allegations and I blocked her and asked her to leave the UK. She full well knows I tried my best with her when coming to the UK.”
