Love Island star Millie Court is ‘gutted’ as her boyfriend Liam Reardon has possibly tested positive for Covid – meaning their trip to Dubai has been ruined as they have to isolate.

The former fashion buyer’s assistant took to her Instagram on New Year’s Eve to share the news with her followers, telling them she and the Welsh hunk will have to celebrate in their room as they were forced to cancel their plans.

She wrote on her Instagram Story: “Hey guys, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet with posting our holiday fun… but we received some bad news and Liam’s PCR has come back ‘presumptive positive’. This means we have to isolate now for three days in hope that it may be negative by then. If it is then we’re free to leave but if it’s positive then we have to finish the 10 day quarantine.

“We are absolutely gutted. We had to cancel the desert tour we had planned today last minute, we were supposed to be celebrating tonight what an amazing year we’ve both had but we’ll be celebrating inside our room and watching the firework display from our balcony.”

Millie added that her surprise birthday trip to the Maldives, from Liam, might also be cancelled if his test comes back positive.

She continued: “Worst part is we were supposed to be flying to the Maldives in two days time. Liam bought and surprised me with this holiday of a lifetime for my birthday and it’s all gone wrong.

“People would say we ‘shouldn’t’ have gone during a pandemic anyway however we’re not living our lives in fear and we’re trying to live our lives to the best we can being as safe as possible.”

She added that over the Christmas period, she and Liam did a lateral flow test often to keep themselves and their family members safe.
