Pokemon GO Shiny Wurmple reports are flooding in around the world. Here’s everything you need to know about catching Shiny worm in the wild!

Pokemon Go is getting ready for another community day this weekend but before that, a new shiny Pokemon appears to have wormed its way to the game.

It’s being reported that Wurmple is now available in the game as a shiny.

This was first spotted by Twitter user, @Rhysmarsh_BFC.

Wurmple, as we imagine most players know, can evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon. And then in turn evolve into Beautifly or Dustox.

At the time of writing, however, there are no reports of Shiny Silcoon, Cascoon, Beautifly or Dustox.

We would also imagine that when available, that it’s also possible to encounter and catch a Shiny hat wearing Wurmple

If you’re wondering how to go about catching yourself a Shiny Wurmple, then fear now.

Keep reading as we’ve broken down all of the potential ways you might be able to encounter a Shiny Stantler moving forward.

How to catch shiny Wurmple?

Shiny Wurmple in Egg Hatches:

Wurmple is not be available in the game as an egg hatch at the time of writing. This could change in the future but for now, there’s no chance of catching a shiny Wurmple in eggs.

ShinyWurmpleinRaid Battles:

At the time of writing, reports indicate that Shiny Wurmple is not a raid boss. So no chance of catching a shiny this way.

ShinyWurmpleinthe Wild:

Wurmple will be spawning in the wild in Pokemon GO, although it’s not currently clear if Niantic have increased rates in line with the release of this new shiny.

As mentioned by The Silph Road, the shiny rate for wild encounters is roughly one in 450. So you’re going to need to encounter a lot to find that shiny Wurmple!

To increase your chances of encountering a shiny, you want to go somewhere spawning as many Wurmple as possible.

We’d suggest that to boost your chances you should head over to the Silph Road Global Nest Atlas to find your nearest nest.

Obviously, the more Wurmple you encounter, the higher your odds of eventually encountering a shiny.
