All these images belong to the past, however, thanks to Templeton Robinson, we’re experiencing an entirely different picture. This transformation has been underway for the better part of five years now, but didn’t really kick in until Michael Young, one of Templeton’s Managing Partners, took over as Board Chair last summer. Mr. Young is well respected within the industry as well as being highly knowledgeable about the business. This combination of skills has resulted in significant progress since he took over as the Templeton Robinsons’ Chair. The first step was hiring a capable and efficient local real estate broker to serve as the company’s primary agent on behalf of the templeton Robinson investment group.

This was followed by more comprehensive and thorough research on the available property markets both domestically and internationally, which led to several conversations with estate agents both in the US and abroad. Mr. Young has always served the company with professionalism, integrity and great customer service. He was also candid about his intentions and committed to delivering a top notch service to his customers. Once the real estate agents got to know Mr. Young, they were impressed by his knowledge and passion for the business, especially in terms of market knowledge, which he claimed to have read nearly 3000 books on the subject. His commitment to customer service was probably his biggest strength as an agent. When asked if he would recommend Templeton Robinson as a broker in the present market, he replied with an emphatic no. One issue that was brought up during our extensive interview process was the firm’s lack of website marketing. This deficiency was a serious concern to me as I felt it would greatly impact our ability to attract and retain clients. Mr. Young agreed with this point and went on to say that he thought that Templeton Robinsons should consider investing in website marketing for their brand. We discussed this in depth, and he eventually went on to say that he was very satisfied with the results that the company had achieved due to their in-depth knowledge of the property markets, combined with their website marketing. In fact, he indicated that he might be able to recommend a company to potential clients that were not as knowledgeable in the property market as Templeton were…

I was impressed with both Mr. Young and Mr. Robinson’s candidness in acknowledging that the whole process was difficult and not necessarily an easy walk in the park for someone who was not really that familiar with property investments. However, I also noted that both of them were very happy with the results that they had achieved. Therefore, I would recommend Templeton Robinson to anyone looking to start a residential sales business and would definitely urge any other agents that are currently not getting serious info started on the Internet to strongly consider taking a look at their website, especially their “how to” info, as this could prove to be a gold mine for you in the future.

During our interview, Mr. Robinson also revealed that he had recently completed a 6-month course in residential sales in Los Angeles. The course was developed by Don Laska and Mark Baldwin, who are both highly respected in the investment community. I was very impressed with the wealth of information Mr. Robinson shared and would advise anyone who is just starting out to take a look at his website to take some time out and digest the information. This is not an “average” person investing in real estate, and this is not something that you should pass up if you have some capital to invest – this is one of the few times when the rich get richer by having more capital available to invest in their business ventures.
