Rhian Sugden checked herself into hospital to have some “suspicious” freckles and moles removed from her abdomen.

The 35-year-old shared a makeup-free selfie from a hospital bed as she updated fans on her health worries.

However she was smiling and told fans she was hoping for the best.

Rhian, who is married to former Coronation Street actor Oliver Mellor, wrote in the caption: “Not so glamorous today! I’m getting some suspicious looking freckles/moles removed this morning. Wish me luck for a normal result!”

She added: “Always be body aware, don’t put off getting checked out! Balls, boobs, bowels, moles and everything in between.”

Her followers were quick to send their well-wishes, with one writing: “Will be in my thoughts today, keeping everything crossed for you.”

Last week, Rhian told her fans she would be heading into hospital, sharing a sad-faced selfie as she pointed at her stomach and the moles.

The Celebrity Big Brother star has been open about her health and desire to have children in the past.

Earlier this year, Rhian said that she and Oliver were desperate to start a family and had turned to IVF to try and concieve.

Sadly, they were dealt a difficult blow last year when their second attempt with IVF failed to work.

Rhian previously told The Source: “After getting so far on our second round it was really heartbreaking to find out it hadn’t worked. It broke me.

“It ruined Christmas for us both and it has been really difficult to deal with – especially for me having all the hormones injected and placing all my hopes on one egg.

“Infertility is something that isn’t really spoken about, and is something men and women shouldn’t be ashamed of.”

Now, Rhian is hoping to help other women going through a similar situation, and has started a blog to talk about it.

Recently, Rhian spoke out in support of Tilly Ramsay after LBC host Steve Allen branded the Strictly star “chubby”.

She branded him a “professional bully” and remembered the “vile” things he had said about her in the past.

“Mocking my career, mocking me as a person, calling me things like a ‘dreary washed up, old woman’ and a ‘waste of air’,” she said.

Rhian added: “Listening to him laying into me live on air. Other people noticed his behaviour yet that professional bully was just allowed to carry on and hurt other people for entertainment.”
