Love Island (stylized as love island and also known as Love Island USA outside of the U.S. is an American dating reality show based on the British series Love Island. The series was announced and commissioned on August 8, 2018, by CBS. It premiered on July 9, 2019, on CBS. The series is simulcast in Canada on CTV, with the second season also airing in Australia on the 9Now streaming platform, In the UK it also airs on ITVBe in 219 then later ITV2 from 2020 onwards.
On August 1, 2019, the show was renewed for a second season and was originally scheduled to premiere on May 21, 2020. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the production was postponed.
The second season production moved to The Cromwell Las Vegas with strict quarantine measures in place. It premiered on August 24, 2020.
On January 27, 2021, the series was renewed for a third season which is set to film in Hawaii.

After six weeks watching the Islanders attempt to find love in the villa Paige Turley and Finley Tapp were crowned the Love Island 2020 winners.
Runners up were Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman and in third place were Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott and fourth place was given to Jess Gale and Ched Uzor.
How long was Love Island on for?
A source confirmed that the show would have a shorter run than the traditional summer version.
“It has been decided that the show will run for six weeks instead of the usual eight.
“The new cast of singletons fly out just days before the launch but bosses work with test Islanders to uncover the best spots in the villa to create drama,” they told the Daily Mail.
