Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon were forced to quarantine in a Dubai hotel room for three days after Liam tested positive for Covid

Love Island’s Millie Court and Liam Reardon have finally landed in the Maldives after being forced to quarantine in Dubai.

The reality TV show winners were forced to cancel their New Year’s Eve plans when Liam received a ‘presumptive’ positive Covid test result on arrival at the Middle Eastern country.

This scuppered their luxury holiday plans and meant that instead of three days exploring Dubai before they flew on to the Maldives, the couple had to isolate in their hotel room.

But after testing negative on a PCR test 72 hours later, Liam was free to resume their sunshine break.

Sharing the good news on Instagram next to photos of him and Millie riding quad bikes in Dubai, Liam wrote: “Hitting them dunes. The holiday starts here.”

The next day Liam shared a clip of the tired looking pair on the plane to their next destination, which he captioned: “We is dead.”

And it was revealed the reason the couple were so tired is they got drunk on cosmopolitan cocktails the night before.

Taking to her Instagram stories, a tipsy Millie told fans: “We’re flying to the Maldives in the morning. Cheers to that.”

Turning to Liam, she said: “We’re going to be flying to the Maldives pretty drunk aren’t we?” to which he replies: “Yes we are.”

Millie laughs as she continues: “We’re going to eat some food to soak up all the drunkenness.”

She then seemed to backtrack on her plans to sober up, saying: “I’m going to keep on drinking cosmos because we are living our lives – yeah – why the hell not.

“I’ve never been drunk at an airport before. I feel like plenty of people have done that, but I haven’t, so this is my time to shine.”

A few hours later, Liam took to his Instagram stories again to let his 1.1 million followers know they had successfully made it to the Maldives.

Giving fans a glimpse of where they are staying, Liam panned the camera around to reveal the crystal blue waters and white sands as they walked along a pier.

He captioned the post: “We are finally here” followed by a love heart eyes and smiley face with sunglasses on emojis.

Millie also shared a video of the idyllic destination, including a photo of a luxury sun lounger and what looked to be their own private slide into the sea.

Liam and Millie were crowned winners of ITV ‘s Love Island 2021 and have been together ever since.

Before going on the show 22-year-old Welshman Liam worked as a bricklayer, while Millie – who has just turned 25 – was an influencer who worked a 9-5 job at ASOS.

The loved-up couple recently revealed they have moved into a swanky Essex house together, which is rumoured to have cost £1 million.

The three-floor home is said to enjoy stunning views of the countryside and comes with four bedrooms all boasting an en-suite.
