Strictly 2019 finalists confirmed as Karim Zeroual, Kelvin Fletcher and Emma Barton

Kelvin Fletcher, Emma Barton and Karim Zeroual have been confirmed as this year’s Strictly Come Dancing finalists.

It will be the first three-person final since 2016 after Will Bayley was forced to withdraw due to his leg injury, which could take six months to heal.

The trio will go head-to-head with their professional partners and will perform a number of dances. Typically, each of the couples will perform their favourite dance of the series, the judges’ choice and a showdance.

One celebrity sadly not performing next week is Chris Ramsey, who was kicked out of the competition tonight with partner Karen Hauer.

The pair landed in the dance-off with Karim and Amy Dowden, but their Rumba failed to impress the judges who chose to save the latter couple.

Speaking afterwards, Chris said: “Wow, I am very proud of myself. I never ever thought I would make it past week two, genuinely I had no expectations whatsoever, I am astounded and I’ve got to thank Karen, she is just amazing and is just amazing and so patient its crazy!

“She is awesome. I had sleepless nights in the build up and there is no-one else who can have made it what it has been.

Karen added: “This has been a giggle fest. Thank you judges for being so amazing to us.

“You are an amazing family man who I admire and you are awesome and I appreciated you literally from week one, not knowing how to walk, and now you are a semi finalist and you have made all of us proud and have inspired all of us and I want to thank you for being awesome.”

Next week, the final three couples will take to the dancefloor in a bid to win the elusive Glitterball trophy.

Last year, BBC presenter Stacey Dooley waltzed her way to victory with pro Kevin Clifton.

The pair had been up against Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev and Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice.
